Volunteering Director
Prasad is a Program and Project Manager with over 18 years of experience across Software Engineering, Project Management, Program Management, Agile Project Management and Client Services Management. He has a proven track record in managing and delivering software development projects for clients ranging from medium size corporations to Fortune Global 500 companies. He has managed software development and implementation projects within Public Sector, Financial Services, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Travel & Tourism and Energy & Utilities domains with midsize to multi-million-dollar project budgets. Currently Prasad is working as an Engagement Manager for DXC Technology and is leading global teams based in Australia, New Zealand, Eastern Europe and Vietnam in delivering projects.
Since becoming a member of the PMI Melbourne Chapter in 2014, Prasad actively participated in chapter volunteering activities and became the Volunteering Recognition Lead for the Volunteering Portfolio in 2015. In 2016, Prasad was appointed as the Volunteering Portfolio Manager and lead the Volunteering Subcommittee for couple of years before becoming a board member for the chapter in 2018.
With his years of experience working with volunteers and considering his passion for volunteering, Prasad took the responsibility to lead the Volunteering Portfolio and currently serving as the Director Volunteering for the chapter. He successfully led a team of volunteers in organising the first ever Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS) in Melbourne in 2018.
Prasad holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. He is a certified PMP and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
